Canyon Lake Little League

Fields: CLLL is a Little League complex, so its diamonds are 60-foot. Our 9U and 10U teams and all tryouts run here. Sample content
Indoor space: Two buildings on the complex. All tryouts run in the Schnell Facility. The Brandt Facility covers indoor needs for 9U and 10U.
Big diamonds: 11U and up need 70-foot and 80-foot bases, which means the larger fields further along 32nd Street. Your coach confirms the field with each week’s schedule.
Parking: Main lot off the entrance road. Overflow along the west side on tournament weekends — arrive 30 minutes early.
Concessions: Open for all home tournaments. Proceeds go to the CLLL field fund.
Restrooms: Behind the concession stand, open during scheduled events.

We are guests here, and we act like it

This is a Little League complex first. Rec games have priority on the fields they need, our field time is booked through CLLL like anyone else’s, and if a Little League game clashes with a Lakers practice your player goes to the game.

Why Little League comes first

The 32nd Street corridor 32nd Street runs north–south off Canyon Lake Drive. The old Timberline field at 1450 is now part of Canyon Lake Little League following the merger, our home complex sits at 1610 below it, and the Jamie Johnson Pony League field is further south at 1730. Everything is within a few minutes’ walk, so check the field name on your schedule before you park.

Timing

Players arrive 60 minutes before first pitch
45 minutes for pool play games after the first
Warm-ups start on time, with or without stragglers
Bracket times post the evening pool play ends
Weather calls come by text and the team chat app

Dugout and sideline conduct

Parents stay out of the dugout during games. Coaching comes from coaches — cheering comes from you. Anything directed at an umpire gets the Lakers a warning, and we'd rather not collect those. If you have a concern about playing time or a coaching decision, wait 24 hours, then email us and we'll set up a call.

Billing & payments

How money works here

The season runs about $400 per player: a $200 deposit at registration, then the balance before the tournament season starts. All club payments — registration, clinics, spiritwear, sponsorships and donations — run through Stripe, with an emailed receipt for every charge and a card you can update from any receipt link.

Deposit: $200 at registration, the same for every age group. Holds the roster spot and covers entry fees for your team's first tournaments. It does not include uniforms or apparel.
Balance: Covers the uniform and apparel package, player and team insurance, and the remaining tournament entries. Invoiced once your team confirms its slate, due before the first tournament. Teams that add events beyond the three guaranteed pay more.
Receipts: Emailed automatically. Forward them to your HSA or employer program if you have one.
Refunds: The deposit is refundable until tournament entries are filed. After that, refunds are prorated less any entry fees and uniform costs already committed.
Scholarships: Need-based help funded by sponsors and donors. Email the program director — requests stay confidential.

Overnight weekends

Up to five overnight trips in 2027 across Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska and North Dakota, depending on which events your team adds beyond the three guaranteed. Team hotel blocks are posted at least six weeks ahead — book early, Black Hills summer rates climb fast. Sample content

Sioux Falls · Jun 5–6

Team block at the tournament hotel. Roughly 5.5 hours from Rapid City — most families drive Friday evening.

Gillette, WY · Jun 12–13

Two hours west. Day trip is possible but Saturday first pitch is early, so most families stay over.

Bismarck, ND · Jul 9–11

Three-night trip with a 4-game guarantee. The club organizes a team dinner on Friday.

Northern Colorado · May

Triple Crown runs weekends around Fort Collins, Eaton and Loveland. Five and a half hours down I-25, and the first real road trip of the season.

Scottsbluff, NE · Jul 17–18

About three hours south through the Nebraska panhandle. 11U and 12U only, with a 3-game guarantee.

Team travel pool

Families contribute to a shared pool that covers coaches' lodging and mileage for overnight events, so no coach pays to volunteer. The pool is optional, typically $40–$60 per family per season, and any leftover balance rolls into the scholarship fund.
